Jeonju Hanok Village has 700 traditional Korean houses, Hanok that are still home to residents today. Hanok Village is the best-preserved living traditional village. Many traditional and historic sites are excellently preserved in Jeonju such as Gyeonggi Palace, Jeondong Catholic Church, Jeonju Confucian School and many others historic sites.
Food “Bibimbab” is most well known Korean food internationally, the one favored by locals and foreigners. Jeonju bibimbap owes its popularity to perfectly steamed rice topped with freshly-cut vegetables (10 different ingredients in Jeonju) combined with the excellent cooking skills of the local women.
Our guide will collect you from your Seoul hotel to drive out of Seoul to visit major attractions of Jeonju city. The drive from central Seoul to Jeonju city is approximately 3hrs.
We will visit Gyeongi palace where holds the portrait of King, the founder of Joseon dynasty, Omokdae observatory for lovely Hanok village scenery, other landmarks of the village.
We will stop for lunch, coffee, and souvenirs shops and local market as you wish during the day with plenty of choice at all the sites. Learn also about Hanok house life and manners which date back centuries.
